There's a New Moon every single month--in fact, a month
by definition is approximately a Moon cycle and named for
it. Since the Lunar cycle is so routine, it's easy to ignore
or take for granted. However, the Sun and Moon are the 2
most central energies in the system, so taking a fresh look
at their monthly dance is quite appropriate.
The Sun relates to the present, awareness, illumination,
growth and the sustenance of life itself. The Moon pertains
to what has been hidden or buried, the seed potential underneath
and what has been relegated to the unconscious. New Moons
are times to bring submerged material to the surface, to
use it creatively and for some life-promoting purpose. Why
should we keep our beauty buried? As for the struggles that
can take root in the Moon, isn't is wonderful to get it
out?
So the New Moon signals a new beginning,
to take stock of the resources already accrued and set an
intention to how we can be potent in the NOW. As the cycle
proceeds, the Moon gradually gathers light--intentions begin
to take form and direction established. The Full Moon is
a time of climax, then the waning Moon reaps the harvest,
learns wisdom, diminishes and returns.
This month
the New Moon is in Scorpio. The lesson concerns power, emotional
truth and a focus on what matters most in regards to others.
Prior psychological (Scoprio) remnants are ready for a new
conscious approach to find not only resolution, but breakthroughs
into new experiences. This New Moon is trine Uranus in Pisces
and Mars in Cancer to form a Grand Trine. Lots of water!
Standing firm with one's authenticity and behaving in ways
that push the edges with others is called for. There is
potentially a revolution in creating fulfilling intimate
experiences that have been "off limits" or unavailabe
in prior times. We need to look out for sabotaging this
due to fear, hurt, or other ancient unconscious artifacts
that we are now ready to address.
