June 2007: Light
My Fire (C'mon baby!)
The astrology in June showcases 2 Grand Fire Trines. Towards
the beginning of the month, Jupiter in Sagittarius, Saturn
in Leo and Mars in Aries are trine. Later in the month, Saturn
and Mars move ahead to trine Pluto in Sagittarius, all in
fire signs. Also note that in late June, Venus in Leo will
also be joining Saturn This month, we'll review the meaning
of these exhilarating Grand Trines -- C'mon baby!
A Grand Trine is a harmonious flow
of energy linking cardinal, fixed and mutable signs of the
same element. The trine is an aspect of enhancement and support.
Its external in nature and social. I have heard, "the
trine is like a sextile that passed the test of the square."
Indeed, the trine is more seasoned and temperate than the
enthusiastic but relatively naive sextile. Since the trine
is the only major aspect that links the various modalities
(cardinal, fixed, mutable) of the same element, it is perhaps
the most agreeable of the aspects.
The Grand Trines
in June are particularly potent. Both Mars and Jupiter are
in their home signs, respectively Aries and Sagittarius. This
interchange says, "go for it!!" There are no obstacles
that can't be surmounted. The fire lends itself to broad adventures,
the gumption to make huge leaps stemming from the personal
will to gain experience. This is a risky and adrenaline filled
combination. The addition of Saturn in Leo provides the necessary
maturity and restraint to use Jupiter/Mars in judicious ways.
Together, this combination is ideal for beginning a business
venture, taking measures to promote oneself, start or accelerate
an exercise program or travel for both personal and professional
reasons.
The Grand Trine in late June substitutes
Pluto for Jupiter. Here, the fire takes on greater depth and
more intensity to do something constructive. Pluto/Saturn/Mars
speaks of power, assuming positions where one can assert the
self with authority and potency. Since a Grand Trine doesn't
have built in checks and balances, the danger is to act in
domineering, forceful ways that lack compassion. Nevertheless
it is an ideal time to solidify one's passions into structure,
and especiallty to deepen a passionate relationship when Venus
enters the mix.
Grand Trines are potent, almost
celebratory and certainly vigorous in fire signs. The purpose
is to maximize success by introducing effort and clarity.
Without being clear and using them skillfully, a Grand trine
may end up just being great intentions and squandered opportunity.
Enjoy the fiery possibilities this month and be sure to light
the wick!
